A registered dietician creates monthly menu plans specifically designed to strengthen and support senior health, and promote vitality and well-being. These nutritious meals are prepared at our centrally located facility for our Meals on Wheels program, the Cathedral Café at Cathedral Residences and CathedralCare.
Meals on Wheels
Aging True staff and volunteers travel nearly 300 miles a day to deliver over 800 meals to home bound seniors and disabled residents in Duval County. On average, we deliver nearly 300,000 hot and frozen meals to frail, homebound senior and disabled residents each year, and that number continues to grow.
Delivered daily, this nutritional support promotes senior health, vitality and independence. In addition, the daily interaction between our drivers and meal recipients allows for ongoing evaluation of each client’s changing needs. Meals on Wheels drivers and staff routinely connect our clients to a wide variety of additional resources.
Aging True is a proud member of Meals on Wheels America.

Like their owners, pets of home bound seniors also need nutritious meals to stay healthy. Appreciating the importance of providing both seniors and their pets with high-quality meals, Aging True seeks to keep seniors and their beloved pets well-nourished via our Pet Meals on Wheels program, a subsidiary of Meals on Wheels. Food is delivered to clients with pets as supplies are available; all the pet food items delivered are donated by individuals or companies in the Duval County area.
Aging True has limited storage space to accommodate pet food donations. We request that all items be targeted towards cats and dogs. We also request that a large part of the donation be dry food, to be separated by the donor in individual gallon ZipLock bags in order to maximize the number of pets and clients the donation can reach. To donate to the program, please call 904-807-1307.
